What is a Pathway?
Pathways are structured journeys of participation that unfold in sequential steps—such as submitting ideas, engaging in dialogues, attending gatherings, and prioritizing actions—to make collective decisions on a specific topic. Pathways can be co-initiated by Circles or emerge from the needs of a Constellation.
Purpose:
To create a participatory arc through which community members co-create responses to complex challenges, ensuring transparency, iteration, and inclusion in decision-making.
Examples:
A Pathway to elect Soil Stewards through nominations, debates, and voting
A Regenerative Budgeting Pathway to co-decide on how to allocate resources
A Commons Mapping Pathway for territorial strategy design
