Reforestation Kit Prototype! (Report #4)
Reforestation Kit
We have already prepared a draft of the website of the Reforestation Kit. To assure the future continuity of the website after the grant, we decided to host it in an independent subdomain of the website of Dronecoria, so the url will be:
https://kitforestal.dronecoria.org
For the moment it’s only the container of all the information that will be included but you can already see how it will look.

Stewardship template
With the objective to promote the stewardship of more territories across multiple organizations, we created and shared a template for stewardship agreements, it’s based on the document that we at Fundación Tomatierra used to make those agreements. Like that, organizations that want to improve the regeneration of landscapes can use it without extra costs to hire lawyers, facilitating the legal work.
It’s part of the Reforestation Kit, and it’s available here:
https://kitforestal.dronecoria.org/docs/Modelo-Custodia-Territorio.pdf
First video tutorial
We dedicated the first video to manage the water of the terrain, each video is designed to be independent of each other and achieve the maximum audience as possible.
At the moment of writing this report the video is performing well with four hundred visualizations in the first three days after publication.
Results of the Survey
We had the feedback of 5 reforestation organizations to understand their bottlenecks and how we can help them.
Here are the results:
The physical tools that are more valued by the organizations are the electric digger, and a set of basic tools for 20 volunteers. For the moment we don’t have a clear model about how to offer and send those tools across projects in Spain.

About the digital tools, the more valued are the fundraising, satellite diagnosis for the design, scientific validation, project communication, and connections with collaborators.

We believe that this is very valuable information that will guide us about the services and tutorials that we will finally include in the reforestation Kit.
Almazarán
In our pilot project of Almazarán, we are working on the infrastructure to host people in order to create a restoration base camp: workers, volunteers, restoration practitioners, and the future land managers of the land in stewardship.
So we are repairing the roof before a possible collapse of the only house that still in good condition of the abandoned town of Almazarán:

We would like to have more visibility in the region, to promote the creation of more stewardship agreements, and invite people to join the team, so we are placing some banners to show people the land under stewardship.
