What experience would you like to share with the community?
We would like to share our experience in restoring degraded mining lands through community-led agroecological farming in Liberia. Our initiative demonstrates how environmentally damaged landscapes can be transformed into productive agricultural spaces that improve food security, create livelihood opportunities, and strengthen community resilience. We have developed practical approaches for mobilizing local communities, particularly women and youth, to participate in soil restoration, organic farming, compost production, and climate-resilient agriculture.
What debate or online activity would you like to propose to your peers?
We would propose a collaborative community mapping exercise where participants identify degraded territories, restoration initiatives, and local stewardship practices within their regions. This activity would create opportunities for peer learning, knowledge exchange, and the development of practical strategies for building regenerative futures across diverse territory
