Help us collect examples for a REUSES knowledge product

Avatar: Debate oficial Debate oficial

REUSES is developing a knowledge product that makes scientific research on urban sealed soils more accessible and useful for two main audiences:

  1. Educators, so the topic can be explored in classrooms, schoolyards and outdoor learning activities.

  2. Policy makers and municipalities, so evidence on soil unsealing, ecosystem services and climate adaptation can inform decisions about public space, schools and urban planning.

We are collecting examples, references and formats that could inspire this knowledge product.

Please share any examples you know of, such as:

Educational resources
Toolkits, classroom activities, schoolyard guides, lesson plans, outdoor learning formats, soil literacy materials, children’s activities, citizen science exercises.

Policy-facing resources
Briefings, visual explainers, policy toolkits, municipal guides, advocacy materials, decision-making frameworks, evidence summaries, design guidelines.

Projects or case studies
Examples of schoolyard greening, depaving, soil unsealing, urban biodiversity restoration, abandoned lot transformation, nature-based solutions, climate adaptation in schools or participatory urban soil projects.

Communication formats
Infographics, maps, comics, visual stories, posters, videos, exhibitions, games, interactive tools or other accessible ways of explaining scientific knowledge.

When sharing an example, please include:

Who it is for:
Educators, students, municipalities, policy makers, communities, researchers, etc.

And if you have some time or space let us know what could we learn from it?

We are especially interested in examples that help translate scientific knowledge into practical, engaging and accessible materials for both classroom use and policy communication.
